| Project Description: |
- Palmer-Donavin Manufacturing Company is celebrating its 100th anniversary by developing a residential/respite care facility for individuals with mental retardation and developmental disabilities.
- The project will be funded by the company and many of its vendors and business partners.
- The house is expected to be completed in July, 2007 in conjunction with the company’s 100th anniversary.
- The facility will be donated to and operated by Franklin County Residential Services Inc. in Columbus, Ohio.
- Estimated cost to build the facility is approximately $750,000.

The contributions of Palmer-Donavin and its employees and business associates will be fulfilling a major need in Franklin County. Their generosity will:
- allow citizens with mental retardation and developmental disabilities to reside and access full participation in community life, while staying close to their families;
- provide needed funding and facilities to the community;
- provide a safe and temporary home for children with mental retardation or other developmental disabilities;
- provide families who place their children in the Palmer-Donavin House a break for up to two weeks to attend to family emergencies or just to relax;
- save taxpayer dollars with an independent contribution; and
- improve the overall quality of life in the region.

| Facility Plans and Design: |
- The Palmer-Donavin house will be 3,000 square feet.
- The house will offer respite care facilities for area residents with mental retardation and developmental disabilities.
- The design includes highly-desirable space and amenities such as an activity center, meditation room, and outside recreation areas (see layout plans and sketches on reverse side).
- The site is located on McDowell Road in Columbus, Ohio.
- Creative Housing Inc. is the designer and builder of the Palmer-Donavin House.
