Columbus, OH – August 3, 2026 | Palmer-Donavin is expanding its specialty exterior product offering in the Southeast with the addition of ACRE Siding and building products by Modern Mill. The new product line is now stocked for dealers served by Palmer-Donavin facilities in Tennessee, Virginia, North Carolina, and South Carolina.

Made from upcycled rice hulls, ACRE combines the warmth, texture, and workability of real wood with the benefits of a durable, low-maintenance alternative. Contractors can cut, nail, screw, and drill ACRE using their existing tools, with no pre-drilling or special installation techniques required. The material can also be painted or stained without primer and is designed to resist water, weather, rot, and pests.

The initial Palmer-Donavin stock offering includes shiplap, nickel gap, V-groove, and reversible edge and center bead/V-groove siding in multiple widths and lengths. Dealers will also have access to trim boards, rabbeted trim, decking, porch boards, sheet goods, flat crown, and Cortex plugs. Sanded ACRE Grain and embossed finishes are available across select products.

The broad assortment gives dealers greater flexibility to use ACRE across exterior siding, trim, outdoor living, and specialty applications. Without knots, sap lines, or splitting, ACRE provides a consistent material that is lightweight, strong, and easy to work with.
